The Anti-Warhol Museum
The Anti-Warhol Museum: Proposals for the Socially Responsible Disposal of Warholia.
Offset artists’ book co-published by Nexus Press, Atlanta. Forward projecting concertina panels present proposals for the sale/disposal of Warhol works with proceeds diverted to fund urgent social causes. (If only!) The matching Warhol works (the CocaCola paintings might be diverted to support diabetes research, for example) are placed in the receeding folds. Stands in a closed star configuration. Front Cover reads:
Dedicated to an alternative art censorship — suppress the emergence of art superstars and the Hollywoodization of Art.
Dedicated to curbing the appreciation of Warholia, and growth of Reagan-ethics in art.
